At Pritchard Injury Firm, our roots run deep in Cartersville. Our founder, Zach Pritchard, is a proud alum of Cartersville High School, as well as his wife and firm’s Finance Director, Alexis Pritchard.
Pritchard Injury Firm first opened its doors here on Main Street, and it is here that we continue to find inspiration in the strength of our community. That’s why Pritchard Injury Firm is proud to sponsor the Purple Hurricanes’ annual Black Out football game on Oct. 17, 2025, providing the official game T-shirt and supporting a cause that transcends the field.
The Black Out game has become a highlight of the Cartersville High School football season, uniting students, parents, alumni, and fans under the lights of Weinman Stadium. This year, the event carries an even greater purpose: it coincides with the “It’s Scary to Be Hungry” Food Drive benefiting Sam Jones Methodist Church.
Black Out Tees Sell Out
As lifelong Cartersville residents, we know how popular these Black Out shirts can be – they are worn by our neighbors and students year-round.
To receive a Black Out T-shirt, fans are asked to donate canned food items at the stadium. For every four canned goods, supporters receive one shirt, with a limit of four per family. This means 16 canned goods are required for a family of four to each receive a shirt. Shirts will be available at Weinman Stadium, at the Church Street ticket booth on October 15-17 from 11 am to 1:30 pm. And as you can guess, supplies are limited.
The result is more than just a sea of purple and black in the stands—it’s thousands of food items collected to fight hunger here in Bartow County.
The Deeper Meaning
For the Pritchard Injury Firm, the Black Out game represents what we stand for: teamwork, resilience, and lifting each other up when times are tough. (And sticking it to the challengers, the Cedartown Bulldogs). Just as the Hurricanes rally together on the field, our mission is to rally behind our neighbors when they are facing challenges—whether it’s recovering from an accident, navigating an injury claim, or simply needing a helping hand.
Our philanthropic mission has always been to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. From sponsoring local events to supporting nonprofits, we believe that service is about more than practicing law. It’s about showing up, giving back, and being a source of strength when it matters most. Supporting Cartersville’s students and families through the Black Out game and food drive is one of the many ways we strive to live out that commitment.
We also know that hunger is an issue that affects far too many families. By pairing the excitement of high school football with a food drive and the dedicated staff and volunteers at Sam Jones Methodist Church, the Purple Hurricanes are teaching students and fans the value of community service and reminding that even small acts of generosity can make a big difference.
Forward Motion Through Good Will
Being the exclusive sponsor of the commemorative shirts that unite thousands of friends, families, and football fans in Cartersville is a reminder that strong communities matter. This extends to the many youth sports teams we sponsor in Cartersville Little league, and our valued partnerships with the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter, The Etowah Foundation, Cartersville Dances with the Stars, and the Cartersville Chamber of Commerce.
